Things to see and do in Arkansas
  1. Alligator Farm and Merman

The man who runs this farm has been in the business of raising alligators for over 35 years, and his family has owned the alligator farm for over 60. Come here to see Arkansas’s most famous creatures at their best, and you might be surprised by the size of these terrible beasts - some specimens on the farm have reached over twelve feet in length!
  2. Dinosaur World
This Eureka Springs attraction was created by the visionary Ola Farwell. Beginning with a statue of the world's largest King Kong, towering at 40 feet tall, the park's prehistoric origins sprouted from there. See statues of Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus and frolic in a landscape which mimics the naturalist state in which these creatures roamed.
  3. Tiny Town
One of the most peculiar attractions in the state of Arkansas can be found in Tiny Town, where miniatures of every shape and size will delight the entire family. Some of them are mechanized, so you’ll be able to see a three-inch-tall Dutch girl scooping water from out of a river in real time. Don’t miss this unbelievably compact Arkansas attraction.
  4. World’s Tallest Uncrucified Christ Head down the highways of Arkansas and you just might run into a giant – with his arms outspread and his ancient cloak, it should be clear that you're viewing the World’s Tallest Uncrucified Christ. This Arkansas feature was built near the Great Passion Play amphitheatre as the theatre's grandiose mascot. Also in the area at the New Holy Land bookstore and the Christ Only art gallery.
  5. Historic Arkansas MuseumStep back into frontier history with the Historic Arkansas Museum, which displays the history of the state of Arkansas through art, antiques and more, including interactive exhibits and activities for the children to partake in. From contemporary art which will dazzle you with its abstract wonder to classical art and antiques created by the early settlers of the state of Arkansas, there's something for everyone at the Historic Arkansas Museum.
  6. Arkansas State Capitol BuildingStanding at 230 feet in the Little Rock air, this is one of the grandest capitol buildings in the country. As such, it features stunning architecture which includes a circular central drum tower, fully capped with a dome and cupola which serve to signify the quintessential in governmental architecture. The building is located on grounds in proximity to several other monuments.
  7. Quapaw Quarter Historic DistrictOne of the grand showcases of the city of Little Rock is the Quapaw Quarter Historic District, which parades an eclectic collection of antebellum and Victorian structures dating back to the early 1800's. Tours are available on foot and by car, and an association has even sprung up in the effort to identify and preserve the significant historical structures which make their home here.
  8. Arkansas Repertory TheatreSome of the best theatre in the state of Arkansas can be found onstage at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, where a wealth of some of the most talented actors and actresses congregate to produce shows which will amaze and convince audiences. See it all within the walls of the gorgeous Victorian architecture of the theatre, which has been called one of "Little Rock’s most treasured gems".
  9. Powhatan Courthouse State ParkThis site is the home of a two-story courthouse which exhibits a broad array of interests. From the history of technology, laid out in vivid displays, to the politics of Northern Arkansas in exhibitions which detail campaigns and trends in the area's sociopolitical arena, there’s something to be gleaned here for everyone.
  10. Wye Mountain
This Arkansas natural attraction typifies the reason why Arkansas has come to be known as "The Natural State." Sporting gorgeous yellow daffodils in the springtime, the mountain is home to hundreds of miles of hiking trails which are ready to reacquaint you with nature. Pack a picnic, of if you're serious pack a whole backpack for a day's worth of re-communing with the great outdoors.
