I like small airports where you can get in an out quickly and the security lines are fast. Having restaurants and places to hang out inside the terminal is nice but secondary to how quickly I can get in and out. Because this airport is small, it is very efficient. Long term Gulfport Biloxi International Airport Parking is literally right across from the terminal so you can park and walk in to catch your flight with ease.

GPT ranks up there as far as airports that don't hassle you. Pretty much all flights in and out of here use small jets that contain about 50 people max - the sort where you have to check your carry-on luggage at the entrance of the plane because you can't fit it in an overhead bin or underneath your seat.

If you're claustrophobic I would avoid this airport. But if you don't mind the inconvenience of the small plane, it's a pretty nice airport. It has been years since I've flown into GPT. I was impressed on my recent visit. They've really made over this sleepy little airport. Everything is new, clean and nice. It is comfortable and easy to get around. Security lines move very quick. There are plenty of GPT Intl. Airport hotels nearby, too. Most travelers pass through this place on their way to the casino resorts. But if you're a business traveler, they haven't forgotten about you. They offer free wifi internet, a lot of power outlets in the seating areas, and a few little cubicle work areas. Very nice.

There is a bookstore and a few little restaurants. I was not impressed with the meal we had here. What they called 'jambalaya' ought to be a crime. But that's for another review.
