UGH. The unianimously agreed monarch of filthy dumpness. Trash on the floor, just staring at you with a bad attitude, much like the staff (JFK is heaven compared to this).Its a lot closer to manhattan than JFK, but still no one ever has flights booked here on purpose. Not enough chairs, and what's there is soiled beyond one's ability to block out, with gum, goo and mystery gop. No real food, but hey, would you risk it if there were? If you don't expect anything from an airport, you'll be fine, but otherwise, LGA= GAG.

The one bright spot was the hotel we stayed in as a nice little park & fly option ( because if there's anything more cuddly than LGA itself, it's LaGuardia airport parking); used to be Wyndham, but is now simply LGA Airport Hotel. Affordable, clean (the sheets were actually fresh). I didn't care that the rooms were not huge, because in the morning I'm outta there on the five minute shuttle to the terminal, which runs from this hotel every half hour. The location couldn't be better, yet we heard no airport noise . Good value here, good luck with the airport itself , though.
