Why is the flight selection so miserable?  You can hardly fly anywhere without needing to make a connection, and I assume Lambert has 1 flight to Cancun and able to call themselves an International Airport which is a stretch. There are not exactly a lot of STL airport hotels to choose from, either.  (b) The airport needs better labeling inside.  Help! Where am I ? (c) Horrible taxi line!  Taxis are tucked away in the St. Louis International Airport parking garage and difficult to find, not to mention there's usually only 3 taxis present.  (d) All airport parking is usually expensive but this is absurd. Get a park and fly package, and vote with your feet.  (e) No free wi-fi... c'mon it's 2012.

Overall Lambert is getting better-ish.  If you travel a lot like me you know that there are some airports you actually enjoy flying through and Lambert is definitely not one of those.  If Lambert would improve flight selection I think I could look past a lot of the other issues but it seems that flight selection is actually getting worse, not better. And, er, It's not a clean place. I have seen worse (Las Vegas), but I've definitely seen better (Miami, Denver, Seattle).
Choice of amenities is not so great either. There are a few select places to get some food and relax, but really nothing to write home about. I have often had to sit on the floor while waiting for my plane. Better than the seats.

I will say that in comparison to some airport food prices, STL isn't doing so bad. While all airports have overpriced items, STL manages to keep them to a "reasonable" cost.  Baggage claim isn't the fastest. I've often waited 15-20 minutes after arriving at the carousel. That's after waiting 10 minutes to deplane and walk through the airport. It seems there could be a better solution.

The airport is old and run down, dirty and just beat in general.  There aren't any decent places to eat, nor is there really anything nice about it.  I can't wait until they finish the renovations. What? they're finshed now?
